Over 35 Cybersecurity professionals met on February 5th at the University & Whist Club to hear the region’s top cybersecurity experts discuss the latest issues surrounding cloud security for financial institutions including methods, controls, challenges and best practices. Speakers include: Harry Perper, Chief Engineer at The MITRE Corporation; Lawrence Cruciana, Chief Systems Engineer at Corporate Information Technologies; George Mach, President, CEO – CISSP, Apex IT Group; Robert Nicholson, Solutions Integrator, Department of Technology and Information; Richard S. Mroz, Managing Director, Resolute Solutions, LLC; and, Dr. Jim Fraley, Chair, MS-IST Information Assurance, Wilmington University.

DBA Strengthening Communities Forum
Community Reinvestment officers and professionals, met January 31st for the Strengthening Communities Forum at the University & Whist Club in Wilmington. Cynthia Pritchard, CFRE, President and CEO, Philanthropy Delaware discussed the 2020 Census and offered compelling reasons why banks should become partners in the effort. Susan Frank, Senior Vice President, Business Development, Cinnaire; Joseph Pigg, SVP and Sr. Counsel, American Bankers Association; Joel Schiller, Chief Risk Officer, Artisans’ Bank; and, Matthew Parks, Director, Discover Bank, provided a panel presentation on the proposed modifications to modernize the Community Reinvestment Act regulations. State Treasurer, Colleen C. Davis concluded the forum program with special remarks. The event was sponsored by Cinnaire.

Santora CPA Group Announces Three Additions to its Team
Santora CPA Group, a Newark-based Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firm, is pleased to announce the following additions to its team: Richard F. Cairns has joined the Trust Services Team as a Marketing Director. He comes to the firm with 40+ years of experience in bank wealth management and trust administration. Previously, Rick served as a CEO of a bank-owned Delaware trust company. He currently serves as President of the Delaware Museum of Natural History and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Delaware. Evan M. Brabson, CPA has joined the firm as a Staff Accountant. He is a 2017 graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Evan is a member of the American Institute and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants. He will be providing auditing, accounting, and a variety of tax preparation services to the firm's clients. Rachael A. Prather has joined the Administrative Team as an Administrative Assistant. She previously worked in a wide array of industries and thrives on “behind-the-scenes” administrative roles. Morris James Partners Selected as Chairs for the Delaware Combined Campaign for Justice
Morris James is honored to announce that two of our own partners are giving back to Delaware through leadership positions with the Combined Campaign for Justice in 2020. This local nonprofit partners with three civil legal aid organizations to provide free legal services to Delaware's most vulnerable residents and helps bridge the gap between people living in poverty and the accessibility of legal services. Partner Eric Monzo, who previously served as the New Castle County Chair, was selected as the General Chair for the upcoming year. Eric focuses his practice on business restructuring and insolvency. Partner Robert Gibbs, who handles matters relating to business and real estate law, will serve as the new Sussex County Chair.

Morris Nichols Promotes Stephen Kraftschik to Special Counsel
