BLS Important Update: Year-End Tax Planning Moves for Individuals and Small Businesses
Tax planning is a year-round effort, but as the end of the year approaches and your income and deductions become more evident, it is a good time to take a final look at where you stand and what you can do to minimize your 2018 tax liability. Notwithstanding conventional income and deduction planning, the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which is in full force in 2018, could change some of those tried and true tax planning decisions. Below, Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs have compiled a list of individual and small business strategies to consider before the end of 2018. The list is by no means all inclusive. Further details of the new tax act, as well as other planning ideas, can be found in their Tax Cuts and Jobs Act: Mid-Year Update and our annual Tax Planning Guide.
